Why Choose Sarasvati Institute?

  1. Spirit & Science

Our instructors equally embrace the spiritual traditions of Ayurveda, and applications using modern science and physiology. You’ll walk away from this course with extensive experience and knowledge of both.

  2. Embodied Learning

We believe Ayurveda is a sacred transmission that comes from being around embodied practitioners. Our curriculum is deep and nuanced, it is not taught solely in a lecture format. We structure our course to mirror the way Ayurveda was traditionally taught in Vedic times. We value a more experiential and integrated approach to learning.

3. Professional Certification

Sarasvati is one of the few Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy programs accredited by the International Association of Yoga Therapy™, recognized and approved by the National Association of Ayurvedic Medicine™ as well as registered with Yoga Alliance. You’ll have all your bases covered.

4. Radically Improve Your Health

The 300-hour program includes an Ayurvedic spring and autumn cleanse. The Ayurvedic ghee cleanse is a pivotal process that many students say is the single most effective thing they have ever done to improve their own health..

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • I'm confused about the certification process...

Yes, Ayurveda Certifications can be difficult to understand. Click here for our “Ultimate Guide to Ayurveda Certifications.”

  • When is the next session start?

Admissions are rolling, and you can join any month. Typically sessions are the 2nd weekend of every month.

  • Is this the same as a 300 hour yoga Alliance Training, and will I get my 300 hour certificate of completion?

Yes. In 2022, the Yoga alliance will require all teacher trainers to be 300 hour certified, and this training will fullfill all your requirements for the Yoga Alliance 300 hour.

  • What if i can't make live sessions?

We allow students flexibility for their timeline of completion. If you have to miss a weekend session, you can watch the missed class on recording or makeup that particular session the following year.

  • What can i do professionally with my certification?

It’s important to keep in mind that Ayurveda is an unregulated field. All certifications are professional, not legal. After graduating from the Sarasvati Institute of Ayurveda & Yoga Therapy 300-hour online program you will be able to refer to yourself as an Ayurvedic Wellness Lifestyle Advisor. We are teachers and educators in Ayurveda and Yoga, our language is that of balancing the Doshas through connection to nature. The Foundations program is the required pre-requisite for the more advanced NAMA & IAYT certificate programs focused on the therapeutic context of Ayurveda and Yoga.

  • How much does it cost? Can I pay in Installments?

The total cost for the Foundations Ayurveda Program is $4950.00 USD, but we have a $1000 discount for paying upfront. When signing up for the 300-hour Foundations Program you will receive $1000 off of the $4,950 tuition by paying before the class starts.

There is also an installment plan option of paying a $500.00 deposit then $370 per month for 12 months in a row.

  • What if I don't want to apply ayurveda professionally?

That’s just fine! Many of our students take our Foundations Course just for personal reasons.

  • What is each session like?

Sessions are varied and include lectures, yoga practice, meditations & pranayama, and lunch breaks. We try to keep each session lively and limit the amount of strict lecturing time.
